Provided the mobility group with product strategy, technical analysis and support (including several whitepapers), competitive market & pricing analysis, product positioning and messaging, business development (alliance programs), channel development (systems integrators), and transaction support services from 1998-2001.
Qualcomm
Contracted to assist with the creation of the enterprise development arm of Qualcomm Information Services (QIS) and for BREW (Binary Runtime Environment for Wireless) rollout. Seven-month project included business planning, critical customer acquisition (majors brands and ISV/developers) for initial BREW consumer launch as well as product development plan for Qualcomm’s entry into the Enterprise, the EAMS (released June, 2002).
Ericsson
Consulted with LME and Ericsson Americas from 1997-2001 supporting Corp Dev and BizDev functions, with a comprehensive product strategy assignment and Microsoft relationship advisory role.
Airwave
Retained initially in an advisory board capacity then as interim managers to assist in transforming the company from a services company (public WiFi ISP) to an enterprise software company (802.11 network management and security). Assumed day-to-day operational responsibilities for marketing, product management, partner development, and initial customer acquisition.
July Systems
Consulted with 802.11 and 2.5/3G convergence infrastructure provider to spec product roll out, feature validation, and first customer acquisitions.
Jacobs Rimell
Contracted as a board advisor and a consultant to assist the company in its transition from a professional services company to a product company selling application, network, and service provisioning applications to telecommunications, cable, and digital television providers in Europe, the US, and Asia. Developed the business plan and raised $15MM in a slow venture capital market post-April 2000.
Cloudmark
Supported the CEO by building out the Mobile/Service Provider segment. As a result, Cloudmark now has global Service Provider deployments and NEP channels.
Comverse
Reported to the CMO and Sales, developed Comverse’s MVNO go-to-market strategy, product and portfolio alignment and specification, and market entry via the Disney and ESPN MVNO deployments.
