Tapio Anttila has over ten years of experience in mobile technologies and over 20 years of experience in multimedia and networking technologies. Tapio specializes in strategy consulting and business development consulting in the digital media domain and spends most of his time brokering deals between the entertainment/digital content industries and various technology companies. His current engagements include a major go-to-market initiative with NVIDIA’s new real-time 3D cloud rendering platform called RealityServer(R). He is also specializing in cross-border deals in Internet and wireless technologies for companies in Europe and Latin America who have an interest to enter the US market. Finally, Tapio has built a deep understanding in software outsourcing and represents a Ukrainian provider to complement his service portfolio.

Tapio’s prior engagements include a long-term project at Macromedia (now part of Adobe), to build and direct its mobile content initiatives. As a part of this engagement, Tapio negotiated content licensing agreements with a number of big and small media companies from major news providers such as CNN into smaller niche players in sports, horoscopes and other lifestyle content. Another engagement worth mentioning was a role at a startup niche mobile service provider Sonopia where Tapio established the sales and business development activity for the media and entertainment vertical. Additionally, he has worked for clients in Asia Pacific and Europe, exploiting his extensive network of contacts, built during the period while working at Ericsson.

Prior to joining Brauning LLC, Tapio was a co-Founder of Crisp Wireless, a leading platform technology company in the mobile content industry. Before that, Tapio spent 6 years at Ericsson, as Director of Business Development of 3G Media for the US market (based in New York), focusing on mobile entertainment and Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) issues. Beginning in 1996, Tapio’s title was Chief Evangelist and he was charged with getting Ericsson to embrace the Internet. Prior to joining Ericsson, Tapio spent four years in Paris selling videoconferencing solutions and building a European trade show on the subject. Tapio holds a Master of Science in Operations Research (Department of Technical Physics) from the Helsinki University of Technology. Mr. Gunell is a serial entrepreneur and visionary who has successfully deployed and launched business in the U.S., Europe, Asia and Latin America an currently works as a management consultant to business in the mobile internet and media industries.Mr. Gunell was the Founder & CEO of Telemedia Development, the largest provider of connectivity and related services in Latin America, serving companies like MTV, Sony Ericsson and Nokia. The company built a pan-regional network encompassing 45 carrier relationships, and local offices in seven countries. Founded in 1993, Telemedia Development had its roots in voice and internet-based premium rate industry. The company developed and managed Interactive Voice Response for some of the largest companies in the premium rate industry. Telemedia Development also operated a Data Center and multi-lingual Service Bureau in Santiago, Chile and was one of Entel’s largest providers for many years. In early 2000, the company pioneered the mobile download business in Latin America and maintained the ability to adapt, innovate and launch compelling mobile products and applications until Conectium Limited acquired the company in July 2006.Concurrent to serving as CEO of Telemedia Development, Mr. Gunell served as EVP for Hong Kong-based e-New Media. Mr. Gunell was responsible for e-New Media internet-billing solutions and was active in the management team that raised US$144 million in a reverse merger on the Hong Kong stock exchange in late 1999.Prior to founding Telemedia Development, Mr. Gunell had a nine-year career with Ericsson in Sweden and the United States.

Though Axel is at home in the field of innovation and strategy, he is very solution and implementation focused.With a solid background in digital media on both sides of the Atlantic he has set up and managed large creative and business units, and has taught academic courses on the promises and pitfalls of digital media strategies.

Axel served as VP Strategic Business Development for Deutsche Telekom AG. During his tenure at Deutsche Telekom he developed its Innovation Strategy and designed its Multi-Access IP Ecosystem. Axel was also in charge of creating strategies for DT’s verticals and created international partnerships with companies from the innovation and online arena.  Prior to that he was Design Strategist at IDEO, the innovation powerhouse where he created strategy and software experiences for clients from the online, wireless and entertainment space. Axel also built up MTV Europe’s digital unit and launched MTV’s first digital channel already in the mid-nineties.Being an early inventor in digital media Axel conceived of and produced the very first fully interactive TV station in 1992 introducing audiences through out Europe and Japan to interactive media even before the dawn of the Internet.
